I love you and would love for you to follow me to MY NEW BLOG :)
Blogger is better for me and my style, but all you “tumblers” are awesome so I hope to still share ideas, adventures and thoughts with you… just via another website now!
So here on out, I am no longer on tumbler. The tumbling days are over, I’m off to blogging now <3
click this link to follow my blog for the next 5 months or so…
then i´ll be back on “kyria in the raw” blog :)
I leave the country in 8 days for Buenos Aires, Argentina. I will be there for 7 months. Part of me feels like nothing is changing and the other part, well the other part knows that EVERYTHING is changing.
With that said I am so very excited for the many adventures, joys and lessons that await for me 6,170 miles away. I came to terms with the realization that I simply need to fully live and enjoy these last few days I have at home. Yes, I could have studied more Argentine history, memorized more spanish vocabulary and ordered the Backpacker’s Guide to the Galaxy but… I didn’t. And that is just fine.
Like anything in life, we can ALWAYS be more prepared, but sometimes the best times come when we just trust and LIVE. Go with the flow and allow yourself to be One and be affected. Also, it is comforting to know I would survive and be perfectly happy if I hopped on a plane today with absolutely nothing other than some cash and a genuine smile. Everything else is extra and will make my stay all the more comfortable.
I love home and I know I will love being away from home as well. It is a different chapter in my life and being in a new environment, experiencing new challenges will open up my eyes to a new way of Living Life. And a new side of Kyria as well.
A run this morning on christmas day
woke me up in a brand new way.
Coming full circle as a new chapter began
Awakened by the inner Goddess as I ran and ran.
A glorious view of this place I call home
10 miles of these hills today I did roam.
Searching outside as well as within,
For the beauty that radiates from under our skin.
I was reminded once again of the power we each contain
To love and bless each other, but so often we refrain.
The buffalo. The mud. The grass. The rain.
The challenge. The joy. The strength. The pain.
My path. My journey. My road. My run.
Mother Father God, I’ve returned as One.
1.any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling
Live it. Hold it. Love it. Breathe it. BE it.
in all things.
Reality is what you make it. Make it exciting. Make it worthwhile. Make it PASSIONATE.
Passion is following your spirit and not allowing your mind to limit you in any way.
(This is one of the most well known mantras. It holds great power when chanted with intention. It means ”I bow to Shiva.” Shiva is the supreme reality, the inner Self. It is the name given to consciousness that dwells in all. Shiva is the name of your true identity- your self.)
Coming home I am reconnected with my practice.
Beautiful Mama Angela leads yoga every MWFS and I am filled with gratitude to join each class. Yoga has turned into much more than a hour long strength training and stretching session for me; it has become a lifestyle. I have been doing more research about the history & properties of yoga and how they personally relate to my life.
Angela has been so gracious as to lend me her teaching materials and has encouraged me to continue on my own yogic path. Yesterday a woman who I recognize from around town but have never spoken to before, came up to me after class and said “When I walked into the room and saw you, I knew you wanted to be a yoga instructor.” I take this and all things to be daily reminders that everything happens for a reason and as inspiration to follow those signs.
The more I learn and practice, the more I am inspired to grow in my own journey, as well as become a teacher for those around me. I have found a few amazing programs, and the one I am most excited about so far is:
I can visualize myself here and know that the knowledge and experience gained would benefit me as well as my future students. It is beautiful.

It’s so easy to be “right on track” grow comfortable and confident, shift into the next gear and accelerate down the road, until I realize I’m lost. Just when I begin to feel I have it all figured out, I am kindly reminded I don’t. That is the beauty of it all I suppose. It is not all about work, nor all about play. The challenge I face now is to take the time and conscious energy to nurture my spirit in this society encouargaing me to get lost in the fast-paced one track all inclusive path to success.
I think I will down shift and cruise for a while.
A piece of heaven on earth. A treasure to experience. One day I will go…
